Well, the Wally had nothing new today, so I wandered to a Target I haven't
been to ages. Usually don't go to this Target, since it has it's daily runners.
Timed it just right as they were leaving looking disappointed and empty
handed. Had the pegs to myself. Found these 3 little errors

The local Wally had 2 cases! Actually, Cyndi and I got to peg them.
I had the FHA, Cyndi the FHB. No Hunt in either case, but some
good finds!
Hot Auction - 56 Merc - hood open!

Hood open - green engine

Race World - Stockar - Variation on a clear car. Actually, one is completely
clear, the other is actually semi-clear. The "gray" looking one is completely
clear!

Just a quick update for my buddies here.
By zoso_59
Hey all,
Just wanted to let you all know I am alive! LOL
Just started a new job last Sunday and have been out of town working a boat show since. So have only been able to get online briefly here and there.
Today is my 1st morning off, start again at noon. Then we leave for Quebec city boat show on Monday.
Next day off the 21st, but I'll try to drop in when possible. To any that I was discussing trades with, don't worry, any started are set aside and will be completed ASAP.
It's taking some adjusting to get used to going back to work after having been semi-retired since 2004 but things will get easier. LOL Specially when I beat this flubug and get my voice back to normal.
Thanks for understanding.
Talk soon all.

Did my normal morning rounds... sort of. The usual places, nothing
new pegged. Had some time to kill between the 2nd Walmart and
Target. I had seen one of the chain of my local grocery store between
the Wally & Target, so I stopped in the check it out. This chain of
stores allows the store General Manager to decide whether or not
to carry Hot Wheels, unless it is a chain wide drop. To my surprise,
this is one that carries Hot Wheels! I must have just missed anything
with a green stripe, or the 2 pegged international G cases didn't have any!

The Rest of the Cars
By toynutz
Here are pictures of the rest of the cars I got the other day. First, a few new Garage cars...
Phil's Garage 69 Pontiac GTO

Phil's Garage 69 Camaro... (I put it next to my Larry's Garage 69 Camaro)

Two different Garage car 69 Camaros...??? Strange.
Larry's Garage Purple Passion Woodie... notice the variation of light blue and dark blue stripes...

I also grabbed a few extra Grabbers for customs...

And just before I started to opened them, I noticed this error...

Got a couple new Johnny Lightnings too. I don't know if this one is a White Lightning, but I think it might be because the other Cadillac Cabriolet was powder blue...

And I couldn't pass up this Chrylser 300...

And last but not least, they put out a "new" case of 2007 Jadas... there was only one that I didn't have... the Cool Bus!

Okay, so I rarely get up on a soap box. But we as collectors know that finding our beloved little toys is not always sunshine and lollipops.
A few years ago, I received a gift from a novice collector. When I opened the nicely wrapped gift set, the cars inside were swapped out with regular cars. The gift giver was so excited that they found a set I "didn't have.' I thought I showed enthusiam and received the gift graciously.
A few months later when I received another gift from my gift giver, it was one with a car I really wanted. I was called out on the prior gift for not being as excited over it. I then told my gift giver that the set that given to me, had all the "good" cars swapped out for common cars. They felt terrible for giving a bum gift. I assured them that they didn't know being a new collector.
This morning I made a run to a Wally I very seldom go to. In the other direction from my normal travels.
Hit the pegs, and find a few returns. We all know that stores will take returns and for whatever reason people will return part of a collection. Sometime, I will buy the returns, depending on age and condition. These were obviously part of a collection by looking at the condition of the cards.
1995 New Models - Speed Blaster

1996 First Editions - Dog Fighter

96 or 97 Rockin Rods - Porsche 930

1995 Race Team series Lumina Stocker

I don't care for this next one at all. The gal stocking toys looked so shocked when I told her this was just flat out theft. When I explained these were $1 cars reglued into the $3 packages, the young lady was very upset. She put these aside to show management. I pulled the $1 - 56 Ford from the pegs for her to show alongside.
Sorry for the fuzziness, this pic is from my cell phone.

On to more cheerful - found this little one at the other Walgreen's - this will cheer my friend Cyndi up when I see her Saturday!

Corvette Grand Sport

AMC Javeline AMX
